54 of 100 You Are Going to Die

I ran into the following quote from Steve Jobs:

“Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose.”

steve-jobsWe all live with fears and fear can be a good thing.  It keeps us from getting hurt.  It keeps us safe.

But fear can unnecessarily limit us. We are up against fears that make us second guess ourselves. We have a good idea that could be a game changer for us, but we hesitate. We have fears that keep us from trying things that could be a key to our success.

What is it you really have to lose in life?  It is your pride?  Is it the image of success you portray to the world?  Those are things many of us can do without.

We’ve all been given one single life to live.  We get no more – no less.   We can stay safe, right?  But what is it you could be doing that would make a difference in your life and the lives of those around you?

It could be something simple.  It could be something big.  Consider the downside of doing it and failing.  Consider the downside of NOT doing it and regretting what could have been.

Note to self:   Get out there with no safety net.  Let go of those fears and just do it.

Owner's Headlamp is Jorge's brain child. He wishes he had something like this when he started his business. As president and found of Larry Jacob Internet Marketing, he's learned that isolated entrepreneurs need resources that aren't really available out there. You'll here him say, "You may do alright, but lonely, isolated business owners with no accountability to anyone outside themselves, can easily fall short of their full potential and become completely miserable - the family too."
